What's This Week (5/6/98)

First up, there's the change to the What's New pages. Notice it was quicker loading? Well it was getting a bit long. Now I'll start moving "What's News" over a month old to the What's New Archive. That title is thanks to Miss Nomer.

Second, yes all those stickers on the front page.

Why all this activity? I've been burying myself in work, trying to get over Geri.
It's the boots I miss most. Pretty much.

What's This Week (27/5/98)

Before we start, yes I've had a go at revamping the front page, hopefully it works fine. If there are any problems I am in the process of sorting them, so please be patient.
[Supplemental: Just had another go at the front page - I took out the sluggish Java routines - no point having fancy stuff if it takes a minute to load. Hopefully I'll be able to get some bandwidth friendly bits up soon.]

Hey, it's here.  The Apokalypse logo, as promised, is now residing in the Upcoming Products section.  Tell us what you think.

On the RPG side we have Neil de Carteret's advanced bludgeon rules in the Uploads section,  check 'em!  Firearms next week.

What's That Week (19/5/98)
What we have for you this week is the first of an Advanced Weapons Rules three parter for the Uploads section from Neil de Carteret.  This first upload is for blades - use the directions to create the cutting weapon of your dreams.  In the coming weeks we'll be adding rules for bludgeons and firearms.  I'm sure you all can't wait to see the latter; but I never considered giving a character a bludgeon until I read through Neil's submission.
Nurse, pass me that mace with hydraulic rams - I'm going in.

Apokalypse update.  Here's the latest press release on the coming game in the Upcoming Products section..  Read it through.  Ask yourself if 'winner' is understating what's going to hit in a few months.  We are about to redefine the industry standard.
The logo is just being perfected, and will appear here soon.  Keep checking to see, it's damn cool.

Oh, almost forgot.  An error creapt into the Uploads section which has now been corrected.  The second page  of Paul Franklin's summary of combat rules (pfcom2.htm) had the hard cover penulty at -2 to hit, instead of -4 as it should be.  The error was picked up by eagle eyed Marco of the Netherlands.  Thanks Marco.  If you spot any others: info@manticor.com

 What's That Week (4/5/98)

Yep, it has been commented on that it should be what's new this month, but there you go.  The hard drive we store and develop the web pages on died quietly two weeks ago and with replacements and reinstallations it's been a pretty hectic time.

But we're back once again.  You've got Waste World Lite free (see last What's New), now we bring you unofficial characters and adventures, courtesy of fans.  First check out Rich Gant's Mezro the 1st, Future Emperor of Hydra and all Waste World.  Then take on an adventure devised by Neil de Carteret entitled Castle's in the Sand.  Both submissions have a Hydran edge to them and are great fun.  Thanks guys!
